The staff is very friendly, particularly Shawn, Tamaro, Tanieka, Amber and others. However, I am concerned about the loosening of the Covid restrictions . They might not be there at your beck and call because they are always short-staffed, but they are always there to attend to the needs, so kudos to the nurses at James River. They had activities planned for their residents, but I think there was a lot of inconsistency in the care . There were some good nurses , and then there were those that just did the job and didn’t really care. As far as the physician’s assistant that was on, she did a good job communicating with me. This is her fifth visit there, and I’m very comfortable with the facility, the staff, and the care that they render. They’re trying to please a whole lot of different people with different tastes, and they do a pretty good job of it. There’s something different going on every day.
